On April 30, the Sun World Ba Na Hills officially launched its 8th cable car line. This newly inaugurated project is a key development for the resort complex, designed to elevate the visitor experience in this “fairyland realm,” and serves as a meaningful gift to celebrate the nation’s grand holiday.
The Sun World Ba Na Hills operates new cable car line in time for April 30 and May 1 holidays.
The new cable car line comprises 153 cabins with a transport capacity of 3,000 guests per hour. Beyond shortening travel time and increasing visitor throughput during peak seasons, this new product also offers a wealth of unique cultural and entertainment experiences, ensuring a more vibrant and memorable journey for all guests.
From the very first steps at the departure station named ‘Hoi An 2’ of the new cable car line, visitors are immersed in a space rich in Vietnamese cultural identity. Inspired by the traditional art of the lion dance, a sacred symbol of joy, good fortune, and festive spirit, the station is designed as a vibrant “cultural stage,” where elements of folk heritage are brought to life through architectural expression. In Vietnamese culture, the lion is more than a mythical creature of good luck; it embodies vitality, jubilation, and auspicious new beginnings. Infused with this spirit, the station is not merely a transit point but a place that stirs emotions and energizes travellers before they embark on their journey to explore the Ba Na Hills.
From Hoi An 2, the cable car line No. 8 glides passengers gently over vast stretches of pristine forest, soaring across mist-shrouded valleys en route to the mysterious destination station named ‘Moon Kingdom’. This aerial journey not only shortens travel time but also offers breathtaking panoramic views, showcasing the majestic beauty of the Ba Na Mountains in all their glory. The ‘Moon Kingdom’ Station, an architectural marvel that is as distinctive as it is impressive. Inspired by the iconic Vietnamese conical hat, the station features five towering spires that rise gracefully into the sky, seamlessly complementing the adjacent Moon Castle. Inside, visitors are welcomed into a stunning space designed with thousands of rustic terracotta bricks, evoking the image of traditional brick kilns once familiar in everyday life across Viet Nam.
