(TITC) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a Plan on the implementation of Governement’s Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP and the Tourism Stimulus Program 2025.
The plan was issued to implement the Government’s Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP on visa exemption policy for citizens of Poland, Czech Republic and Switzerland traveling on tours to Viet Nam and Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP on growth targets of industries, sectors and localities; improving the quality of tourist services, increasing the number of international visitor arrivals to Viet Nam in 2025.
Visa exemption policy for citizens of Poland, Czech Republic and Switzerland
Accordingly, citizens of Poland, Czech Republic, and Switzerland travelling to Viet Nam entering Viet Nam under unilateral visa exemption according to the provisions of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence of Foreigners in Viet Nam must have a passport of at least 6 months of validity, and travel to Viet Nam on tours organized by Viet Nam’s inbound licensed tour operators who have registered to join the tourism stimulus program.
The Ministry will organizes tourism promotion campaigns in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland; organize Vietnam Culture and Tourism Weeks in Poland and the Czech Republic this year to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and these two EU countries.
Tourism Stimulus Program 2025
Accordingly, tourist attractions, historical sites, scenic spots… will offer free or discounted entrance fees for visitors. In addition, related services such as transportation, accommodation, restaurant, entertainment, shopping, and wellness services will be eligible for discounts of up to 50%, depending on the specific category and terms set by tourism businesses, transportation companies, and service providers.
A variety of activities and events will be organized to attract tourists such as the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (2 September), the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (30 April – 1 May); as well as international forums and conferences and cultural, sports and tourism events.
Localities, tourism associations and businesses are expected to proactively offer joint tourism product packages,encouraging the production of unique, advantageous products and items with local identity as gifts and souvenirs for tourists.
At the same time, both domestic and international airlines are encouraged to increase flight frequencies and launch new direct routes to accommodate the rising number of international visitors.
